Christmas in the Kitchen
I love a kitchen table. I think it is so cozy to eat in the kitchen (at a table, not the island). Inspired by Butter Wakefield’s oh so charming holiday kitchen, I decided this year to have some of my own fun in the kitchen. I do spend a good amount of my day in the kitchen and I have really enjoyed the cheer of the garland and the camellias and lemon cypress topiaries in the window sill. I think I will begin to decorate this room every year.
My tablescape features the beautiful block print napkins from Mary and Crew and India and Ivy. They have all my colors of my home in them. I paired them with a Williams Sonoma tablecloth I have had for many many years. The deep pink is perfect for the holidays. I used place cards from my Famille Rose Medallion collection at Dogwood Hill and a Bauble Stocking sits at each place setting.
On my counter, I set Grandmama Woodards’s Buttermilk Poundcake along with coffee. I love how the rim of my coffee cups picks up the color in the block print napkins. I added some candles for a magical effect. We are all ready for a cozy Christmas morning breakfast.
