Chalet Chintz

Christmas at the Caroline House is my favorite way to start the holiday season. This years’ event featured Portraits of Hope and the women of The Lovelady Center. It was encouraging to hear the testimony from one for their ladies of how God had worked in her life through the ministry of The Lovelady Center. After the speaker and dinner, we toured the beautifully decorated Caroline House.

Dogwood Hill decorated a room and I created a tablescape inspired by my Chalet Chintz suite. Molly Hendry of Roots and Ramblings

created this gorgeous “mountain” of a centerpiece for the table.

Portraits of Hope raises awareness through a book, exhibitions, and events that highlight the difficulties women and children must overcome in order to break the cycle of a life that has left them feeling worthless, broken, and without hope. The goal of Portraits of Hope, Inc. is to help these women and children understand God’s clear message (“You are worthy”) and to provide support as they transition to their new lives.
